To ensure your safety, all clients must meet the following basic requirements before booking a Hijama treatment:

  • You must be 18 or over. No exceptions.

  • You must provide a breakdown of your full medical history before treatment.

  • Pregnancy: Only the first trimester is eligible. Treatments are not permitted during the 2nd or 3rd trimester.

  • Gender-specific therapists: In line with Islamic guidelines, male clients are matched with male therapists, and female clients with female therapists. There are no exceptions to this rule.

  • Hijama is a complementary therapy, not a replacement for medical treatment. Always consult your GP for medical concerns.

  • Deposit required: All bookings require a non-refundable £10 deposit before confirmation.

General Contraindications for Hijama (Who Cannot Receive Treatment)

For your safety, certain medical conditions mean Hijama cannot safely be performed.
Please note: This is not a complete list, and all medical conditions must be discussed with your therapist during consultation.

You cannot receive Hijama if you have:

  • Haemophilia or any bleeding/clotting disorder

  • Severely low blood pressure (hypotension)

  • Uncontrolled diabetes

  • Severe anaemia

  • Active skin infections at the areas to be cupped

  • Open wounds, ulcers, or recent surgical sites

  • Active cancer treatments (chemotherapy/radiotherapy)

  • Heart conditions that make blood extraction unsafe

  • Recent stroke or serious cardiovascular events (in the last six months)

  • Pregnancy beyond the first trimester
